As we all know by now, the Coronavirus is affecting much of the world. We want to extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone.
During this time we all have the opportunity to reflect on what is most important in our lives... our faith and our family. As schools are closing, and we all begin social distancing to help stop the spread of the virus, many of us will be spending more time with our family in our homes. While this can be challenging, it can also be an opportunity to remember how blessed we are to be part of a family. A family that loves and cares for us, and is there for us during difficult times like these. Connected Hearts exists for this very reason- to give orphans the opportunity to be part of a loving family.
How the Coronavirus is Impacting Orphans and Adoption:
It is times like this that we rejoice more than ever that you have helped us bring home over 150 kids. During this challenging time, these children are being loved and protected by a family. They have access to medicine and proper medical care. They have hope, and are not having to face this time alone. We cannot thank you enough for making that possible for them!
Unfortunately, there are still many orphans around the world who need a family. As you may have heard, the Coronavirus is having a profound affect on orphans and adoption. Several Connected Hearts families were suppose to travel already to adopt their children. Due to travel bans, we are unsure when these families will get to bring home their children. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers. Even though these families have not yet met their children, they love them deeply. As you can imagine, being separated from your child during a time like this is very difficult.(Especially when your child is in another country, and not receiving proper medical care, nutrition, or love.) We want to give each of you the opportunity to surround these children and families with prayer.
An Opportunity for Your Family to Make an Impact Through Prayer:
As you gather with your families over the next few weeks, please be in prayer for all Connected Hearts families, orphans around the world, and everyone who is being affected. It is during the darkest of times that the light of Christ can shine the brightest. If you would like to use this time to have your family be a light for Christ, you can pray for families who are in the adoption process, and for their children who are waiting to be able to join their family.
