An Adoption Story That Will Brighten Your Day!

Click Below to Watch James's Adoption Story

“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

John 14:18

Many of you remember James, who was adopted 2 years ago. James has Apert Syndrome, which is a congenital disorder that causes malformations of his skull, face, hands and feet. Due to his medical condition, James was often overlooked for adoption based solely on his appearance. Thanks to advocates all over the world, James is now part of the Singleton family! He now has a mom and brother who love him dearly. (You may recognize his brother John, who sang and played the piano at our advocacy event last month.)

Thanks to generous donors, Connected Hearts was able to not only provide funds for James’s adoption, but also for him to receive the surgery and medical care he needed. This past June James underwent a successful skull expansion surgery. This surgery was necessary in order for James’s brain to have room to grow. James is doing great since his surgery! He loves music, and he especially loves being part of a family.

We hope this short video clip of James’s adoption story brightens your day. In the video you will hear from James's mom Amie, and also see photos and video footage of James. Thank you for giving James the opportunity to not only have a family, but also to receive the medical care that is allowing him to thrive!
