We’re thrilled to share that Addi, a brave and beautiful 13-year-old girl from Colombia, is now part of her forever family! Amie Singleton, who previously adopted James from China with Connected Hearts’ help, has once again stepped out in faith to give a child the love of a forever family. Thanks to your generosity, Connected Hearts was able to help Amie raise over $20,000 toward Addi's adoption—and on May 15, her adoption was finalized in Colombia!
The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been filled with God’s grace. At first, Addi was quiet and hesitant—but everything changed after their official adoption meeting. Amie wrote: “We had our integration meeting with the lawyer that asked both of us (as she is old enough to choose this or not) if we wanted to move forward with the adoption. After that meeting, everything changed and I saw the real Addi come out! Maybe she was scared I would change my mind or didn’t believe it was really happening. But now I see the sweet, caring, thoughtful, and fun little girl that she is.” Amie shared that Addi saves snacks for strangers, remembers the little things that make her new family smile, and brings laughter and life wherever she goes. “God has graciously blessed me with another amazing and absolutely precious child made in His image.”

Addi has a condition known as butterfly skin. It is a rare genetic condition that causes the skin to be extremely fragile and prone to blistering and tearing. We are truly grateful that she now not only has the love of a family, but that she can also receive the medical care that she needs.
We’re honored to walk alongside families like Amie’s. Because of your prayers and support, children like Addi and James are no longer waiting alone—they are home with their forever family. If you missed James’ story, you can read it here.
Thank you for making these miracles possible. Because of you, children are finding hope, healing, and a place to belong. Amie put it well when she said, “Adoption is such a beautiful gift from the Lord… even if you’re scared, it’s okay to say yes. We have a sovereign and good Father that loves and guides us always.”

You can help more children like Addi find the loving families they deserve.
